No first downs could I gain….
I was rushed and hurried, sacked time and again
No line to block for me
It was fourth and long and I needed a play
The game was pert near lost
I was torn and tattered, back to my goal
And they were ready to win
Then I saw on the sideline, a super star
The player I needed in
I called Him over and asked for help
With Him I knew I’d win
He entered my game and took control,
He ran from end to end
He passed and caught on every play
He scored on every down
Now it’s first and ten with eternity to go,
Jesus is on my team
They try to stop Him but to no avail
He crashes through time after time
Yea, it’s first and ten with eternity to go,
Satan’s line is pushed back
They can’t rush and they can’t stop
His onslaught of righteous attack
Jesus scored big He’s my MVP
An all star for all time
He is on my team and I‘ll never trade
For any player in the league
First and ten with eternity to go, the goal line is in sight
