2 Corinthians Ch 1 v 3-5 By: Thom Daniels
Blessed be God, even the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth in Christ.
When you are troubled, when you are feeling down
When sadness fills your heart and your face wears a troubled frown
When tears fill your crying eyes and hatred fills your town
Praise the name of Jesus, the One with the Holy Crown
When you are suffering and have nowhere to turn
When the verdict is in and the courtroom does adjourn
When darkness fills your empty heart and you think your soul will burn
Seek the wisdom in the Word of God, open your eyes and learn
When no answers come to your mind and comfort is out of reach
When you scream out in anguish, when your voice does screech
And your troubles are numerous, as the sand on the beach
Listen to the Holy Spirit and hear what He will teach
For all that you experience, the suffering and the pain
The misfortune of this world that is driving you insane
When all your works and effort are seemingly done in vain
Open your heart to Jesus and see what you will gain
For once you let Him take control and lead you where He will
Once you become born again and let the Spirit fulfill
Once Christ is your Master and His blood has paid your bill
You will know happiness and let your troubled heart be still
For nothing that you can go through, no pain that you can feel
No trial or tribulation can compare with what he had to deal
Think of this as you face those things that make you reel
And Praise the name of Jesus, every time you kneel
Take comfort in the fact that He suffered and died for you
And through faith in Him you shall know what’s true
Praise the name of Jesus, in every thing that you do
For His loving mercy and grace is what makes you born anew
The Lord is my strength and He is my song, I serve Him happily
The Lord is my shining star and shall become my victory
He is my God and I shall praise, his name for all to see
He is my father’s God and I exalt Him for all eternity. (EX 15:2)
